     It truly is the highest honor to be chosen for a Senior Impact Award.
     Educators go into education to make a difference for students and
     this award is tangible evidence that they have indeed made a
     difference.  And to show the impact that Brooke teachers have had
     on students -- Brooke has more than twice as many teachers receiving
     awards as any other elementary school.  Way to go!!

     If you have not already informed Brooke's office that you will be
     moving at the end of the current school year or over the summer,
     please call Brooke's office at 610-705-6006 as soon as possible.
     Having this information as early as possible helps us with
     projecting enrollments for next year which might then impact on
     our staffing needs.  Thank you!

     OLYMPIC DAY 2012 will be here before we know it!!  It is scheduled
     for Friday, May 25th, with the raindate being Tuesday, May 29th.

     Families are invited to join the Brooke students (Grades 1 through 4)
     for lunch on OLYMPIC DAY.  Attached is information and a form for
     ordering adult lunches on this day (please click here to access the
     memo).  Orders are due by May 15, 2012.
    

     Just A Reminder ...

     Open-toed shoes or sandals are not appropriate attire for school as
     they create a safety hazard when departing from the bus or on the
     playground.  District policy dictates that "Open-toed shoes or sandals
     will not be allowed on the playground."

     Sneakers are recommended for your child to provide for his/her safety
     when using the equipment on the playground during recess.

     In addition, all stomachs are to be covered and shorts are to be no
     shorter than the mid-thigh (no "short shorts").  District policy also states
     that muscle shirts are not allowed and on tops with spaghetti straps,
     the straps cannot be less than one-half inch.

     On Monday, the School Board approved Friday, June 8th, as the
     last student day since the district did not need to use the 3 emergency
     days that were built into the 2011-2012 school calendar.
