DR. SEUSS' BIRTHDAY is Monday, March 2nd!! From
Monday, March 2nd, through Thursday, March 5th, students
and staff will be encouraged to dress up in honor of a different
Dr. Seuss book ...
Monday, March 2nd ... The Cat in the Hat ... wear a red
and white Cat in the Hat style hat or your favorite hat.
Tuesday, March 3rd ... Fox in Socks ... wear crazy socks.
Wednesday, March 4th ... Wacky Wednesday ... wear a
Thursday, March 5th ... The Sleep Book ... wear pajamas
(no slippers, please).
On Friday, March 6th, the students may dress up as what they would
like to be when they grow up.
KEEP YOUR SKYWARD ACCOUNT UP-TO-DATE
The district schools use SKYWARD exclusively for student/family
information -- phone numbers for home/work/cell, household
information if the parents are divorced/separated, etc. PLEASE
make changes in your child's Skyward account as soon as changes
occur. Thank you!!
COLOR ME FUN RUN
Brooke's COLOR ME FUN RUN is scheduled for
Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON.

MODIFIED KINDERGARTEN SCHEDULE
On days when there is a TWO-HOUR DELAY to the start of school,
Kindergarten classes will follow a MODIFIED KINDERGARTEN
SCHEDULE so that both morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes
will be held. These schedules are as follows:
AM Session ... 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM (Arrival 10:45 AM)
PM Session ... 1:55 PM to 3:40 PM (Arrival 1:50 PM)
GUIDING GOOD CHOICES
Evening Parent Programs will be presented by SPRING-FORD
COUNSELING SERVICES on how to promote healthy behaviors
in children aged 9 to 14. Please click here for more information
about these workshops..
WINTER HAS ARRIVED
THE COLD WEATHER IS HERE! Please send your
child(ren) to school with coats, hats, scarves, and gloves.
Unless it is raining or the wind chill is below 20 degrees,
students do go outside for recess.
CHANGE IN ADDRESS
Please contact Brooke's Office if you have plans of
moving or have moved earlier this year. The district
requires proof of residency for any address change.
Settlement papers, a deed, or a lease agreement
are considered proof of residency.
REPORTING YOUR CHILD'S ABSENCE
If your child will be absent from school, by 8:45 AM please
call Brooke Elementary's "ABSENTEE PHONE LINE". Dial
610-705-6006 and select option "4". Please leave your child's
name, your child's teacher's name, and the reason your child is
absent. This must be done each day that your child will not be
in school. When your child returns after his/her absence,
please send in a written excuse note.
The district has revised the VOLUNTEER POLICY, and as a result,
there are additional steps necessary before coming to Brooke as a

who is in close proximity to a school district employee when with a
student ... and Substantial Contact Volunteer who will be with a
student without direct supervision by a school district employee.
